Going for Gold

Kindly Sponsored by RWR Printing Ltd Leeds
Dear Colleagues Join us for an evening of Inspiration and Opportunity
The organisers of this event, EventBusters Ltd, has had a long association with World Class Sport. We are running the first of our 'not for profit' sporting dinners for business owners in the region at The Triton Inn, Brantingham on the 17th September 2009. The proceeds from the first dinner will go to Brough Cricket Club.
The aim of each evening will be to deliver to guests valuable information to help their businesses in the form of a dinner with guest speakers. Each event will provide an excellent networking opportunity and have the added bonus of giving support to an amateur sports club in the region.
To start this series off we are focusing on the opportunities still available for businesses leading up to The London Olympics in 2012
The ability to stay focused, seize opportunities and apply strategies are skills which are well developed in top athletes. These skills are also key to business success, Our speakers will give you an insight into not only what opportunities are out there, but how to recognize and identify opportunity and apply a strategy for success.
As the 2012 Olympics approach fast there are still many opportunities for businesses to tender for work. This is not confined to large businesses around London but open to all sizes of businesses throughout the country. The Olympic Training Camp at Bishop Burton is an example of this and will bring prestige and more visitors to our region.
Master of Ceremonies for the evening is Nick Danby, Face 2 Face CPD Development through Experience
Our two guest speakers will enlighten you and answer your questions on what 2012 could mean to your business.

Jeanette Dawson Principal of Bishop Burton College
In 2005 a Property Strategy was developed for major capital development of the college campus. The news on 6 July 2005 that the 2012 Olympic Games would be held in London was inspirational for the college. It was a defining moment which led us to think about the skills and facilities required and to plan accordingly. The college already had a Property Strategy and Campus Development Plan which included a new Indoor Equine Arena. The plan for a new indoor riding school was then changed to a plan for an Olympic size Equestrian Arena. This wonderful facility was opened by the Princess Royal in October 2008 and we now have another world class venue in Yorkshire. The venue has been accepted as a training camp for the 2012 Olympics and in July 2010 we are hosting the Pony European Championships. This is just one building in a capital programme which has taken the Bishop Burton College into the 21st century – and there is more to follow.
